A year ago is when I started at Kendall, and, man, has it flown by. Kendall has changed me in many ways. I’ve met and worked with many incredible chefs and students, both domestic and international, who have impacted my life greatly. As I complete my last quarter here at Kendall before I go onto my internship, I’m leaving as a very different person than when I started. Culinary school has pushed me physically, mentally, and emotionally. I’ve learned a lot about myself as well as others, and I believe that it has made me a better version of myself. Because of my experience at Kendall, I know that achieving any goal is possible.

I am eternally grateful and shocked, even, that I received a scholarship through the KCT. Both of my parents did not go to college. I was raised to work extremely hard for the things that I want in life, and that is exactly what I have done. To be recognized with a scholarship from the KCT has really been a privilege that I’m forever grateful for. It was especially rewarding to be given the opportunity of having my own dessert table at the fundraiser in which the money is raised for the particular scholarship that I received. That is something that I’ll never forget.
