GRADUATION is FINALLY here! I am so excited to share with you’ll what I have been up to! This is my last quarter at Kendall College! It is bittersweet because, I am eager to go into the world and apply all that I have learned over the past few years here at Kendall! However, these were some of the best years of my life! Therefore, I will really miss being a student and a part of this wonderful institution! In my educational life, this will be my second degree from Kendall. I have my Associates Degree in Culinary Arts and I am walking during the graduation ceremony this Saturday June 24, 2017 for my Bachelors Degree in Hospitality Management!

Being a part of Kendall has been a worthwhile experience I even had the opportunity to travel to Italy for two weeks being a student here! I am also a part of the Eta Sigma Delta Honor society, and a recipient of the Premier Scholarship with Kendall College Trust! Did I mention with this scholarship I was asked to feature on an NBC News Making a Difference segment with Catherine De Orio, Executive Director for “KCT”? Beyond amazing! Now…. I am saying farewell to Kendall College, the place that has opened many doors, took me places I’d never imagine I’d go, and gave me a scholarship for $15K to continue my education! I am leaving, feeling ready for the world! I recently accepted a position as a Sales Coordinator for a full service hotel in Downtown Chicago, my dream job! Overall, Kendall College has been very good to me! I am forever grateful to Catherine De Orio and Deb Teall along with the entire “KCT” board and sponsors for seeing the value in investing in my future. I definitely feel like I have kept my word and I am making an imprint on this world! So now I say, farewell I will truly miss you all, and this won’t be the last you’ll hear of Ashley Rigsbee.
