I am greatly thankful and honored to be the first recipient of the Emily Williams Knight Hospitality Scholarship through Kendall College Trust. Your generous award is not only supporting me financially, but also it is giving me motivation and encouragement to become a better person both personally and professionally.

With that, I am excited to share that this scholarship process has given me chance to meet many great professionals along the way. Mr. Paul Daly is one of the KCT Scholarship Committee members I met during my scholarship interview. Mr. Daly and his colleagues allowed me to shadow in different departments at Hyatt Regency Hotel. On September 27th, I spent a day in their Reservations Department where I learned about each person’s roles and responsibilities. I am certain that it will be help me in my future endeavors.

I have to say the highlight of my day was when I was allowed to sit in the meeting with each Director/Manager of different departments including Mr. Daly. This whole day was one of the most eye-opening experiences I have encountered in my professional career. In addition, I would like to take this opportunity and thank everyone at Hyatt Regency Hotel for the valuable lessons. I will look forward to my next shadowing experience soon.

Now it is my responsibility to do more, and represent and serve Kendall College in the best way possible as an ambassador for KCT. I will be always grateful.
