This winter term at Kendall College was a real treat! So many great memories from my dining room course to sculpting sugars, it was all so exciting. But a moment that I will cherish forever was when I had the opportunity to stage at the Michelin rated, Adorn at the Four Seasons. I had the chance to work closely with Chef Juan Gutierrez, the winner of Netflix series School of Chocolates. It was absolutely amazing; I also had a chance to meet with award winning, author, and part owner of Adorn, Chef Jonathan Sawyer.
To be in the presence of these two great Chefs was rewarding, insightful and encouraging on its own. But the real treat was that I had the opportunity to learn from two of Chicago best Chefs firsthand, I don’t know if it gets any sweeter than that. To say the least I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and hopefully I get invited back for a permanent position. Wish me luck!
