Conagra Brands Foundation Awards F4CA with $10,000 Grant

CHICAGO, IL (March 15, 2023) – Foundation for Culinary Arts (F4CA) is happy to announce that it has been awarded a $10,000 grant from Conagra Brands Foundation to benefit the upcoming Yes, Chef! Culinary Camps. Conagra Brands Foundation is dedicated to providing philanthropic support to communities where Conagra Brands has a presence.

This grant will support F4CA’s Yes, Chef! Culinary Camp, a program which introduces Chicago Public School high school students to culinary skills, nutrition education and more through seasonal camps. Funding these camps continues F4CA’s mission to inspire and empower socially and economically disadvantaged students through educational programming and career advancement opportunities.

“We are incredibly grateful for this very generous grant from the Conagra Brands Foundation,” said Catherine De Orio, Executive Director of F4CA. “This donation will continue to make the camps an impactful experience and opportunity for the students participating in our upcoming programs.”

Including one, two, and five-day camps, each Yes, Chef! Culinary Camp is designed to broaden each student’s horizons in culinary, culture and community. Campers spend time bonding with students from other schools while learning valuable career and portable life skills, including lessons on nutrition, sustainability and foodways. Campers are a diverse group of students from under-resourced communities from the age of 13-18 years old. For more information about Foundation for Culinary Arts and Yes, Chef!
