Foundation for Culinary Arts Named Comcast NBCUniversal Local Impact Grant Winner
September 9, 2025
The Foundation for Culinary Arts (F4CA) proudly announces that it has been selected as a winner of The Comcast NBCUniversal Foundation’s 2025 Local Impact Grants Challenge. This year, the Foundation awarded $2.5 million to nonprofits working to strengthen communities. F4CA received $30,000 to support its mission of empowering students from underserved communities to become the next generation of culinary leaders.
“With this generous support, we can expand programs that equip students not only with culinary skills, but also with the confidence and tools to build meaningful careers that strengthen themselves and their communities,” says Catherine De Orio, Executive Director of F4CA.
For more than 17 years, F4CA has transformed lives through culinary education. The organization has awarded over $3 million in donor-supported scholarships and helped nearly 1,000 aspiring chefs turn their passion into purpose.
F4CA is honored to be one of 69 nonprofit organizations selected across 11 NBC and Telemundo-owned television station markets for creating meaningful community impact.
This grant represents more than funding. It affirms our belief that opportunity can change lives. By opening doors to culinary education and career pathways, we help students build brighter futures for themselves, their families, and their communities.
