The Foundation For Culinary Arts is dedicated to providing educational opportunities and career development for economically disadvantaged students in the culinary and hospitality field of study.

Check back for a list of the scholarships that will be offered in the future. Scholarships for the 2022-2023 academic year are paused. The Foundation For Culinary Arts and its recipients cannot emphasize the importance our donors have played in so many lives over the years.  To you we say, thank you.

Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Scholarship

Chaîne des Rôtisseurs
This scholarship was established to contribute to the education of talented Chicago-based culinary students, whose professional skills will perpetuate the legacy of gastronomy in the Chicago community.

International Wine & Food Society

International Wine & Food Society
The IWFSC annually awards scholarship grants to qualified culinary students. Two of the awards are designated as the “Ian C. MacLean, M.D. Award” and the "Donald Erickson Award" in honor of one of their past leaders. The third is named for the IWFS regional governing body. Their awards are granted based on the need for financial assistance and demonstrated potential and achievement.

Frontera-KCT Scholarship

Frontera-KCT Scholarship
This scholarship is provided in collaboration between Frontera and the Kendall College Trust for a Chicago Public School student of Mexican-American descent. The scholarship will cover the direct tuition cost for an Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts or baking and pastry.

Raymond Geraldson, Jr.

Raymond Geraldson, Jr.
Ray Geraldson led an esteemed career as an Intellectual Property attorney and has served on the KCT board for more than a decade. This scholarship was created to support promising culinary and hospitality students in the Chicagoland area.

Ronayne and Forrest Leahy-Thomas Scholarship

Ronayne and Forrest Leahy-Thomas Scholarship
Friends and family of Ronayne Leahy-Thomas and Forrest Leahy-Thomas created this fund to award an annual scholarship in memory of the brothers. The brothers were beloved members of the Chicago culinary community, graduated from local culinary school Kendall College and continue to inspire their peers.

William P. O’Connell Scholarship

William P. O’Connell Scholarship
The William Patrick O'Connell Scholarship was established in the loving memory of William Patrick O'Connell, who was inspired by the culinary arts and loved sharing his extensive knowledge of wine with others. The scholarship is awarded to a deserving student pursuing a degree in a Culinary Arts or Beverage program.

Premier Scholarship

KCT Premier Scholarship
The Foundation For Culinary Arts premier scholarship provides the highest level scholarship available. The purpose of the Premier Scholarship is to provide support for students seeking a Bachelor of Arts in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management.
